Fireworks 1: Spain vs. South Korea

A quick update from last night's festivities: dinner at a Portuguese restaurant in Taipa Village --> UM to watch the international fireworks competition (Day 1) from the admin building roof --> back to Taipa Village for drinks --> taxi to Macau to find a karaoke bar --> brief foray to Fisherman's Wharf to find a dance club (we were dressed too casually to get in) --> home.

Phew.

Something more fun - photos from last night!
The (head of the) pigeon that was roasted in a 100-year-old secret marinade

Some shots from Spain's entry in the fireworks competition:
Some shots from South Korea's entry (it may not appear that way from the photos, but of the two, they were definitely better):And, of course, some karaoke photos...the place had a very limited selection of English songs, so we ended up singing Britney Spears, which was fairly entertaining.

Plans for today: ICA service at 11, grocery shopping, late lunch, then maybe exploring? Gotta make the most of our last weekend before classes start!
